Postimpressionnism (1870).
Impressionism opened the way, while renonçant with the passeism of the Academy and the weight of conventions, with many artists but in same time it also prepared the public with better including/understanding and accepting new forms of artistic expression. Various movements transfer the day with its continuation, the neo-impressionism, the pointillism, the synthetism, etc but although those started to parallel to develop dice the years 1860 impressionism they could be affirmed only after the years 1870 when impressionism started to be blown. These various movements can be gathered under the
denomination : " Postimpressionnism ". Born in the Netherlands Vincent Van Gogh adopts the impressionist style then influenced by the Japanese Masters of Ukiyo-e, the
" floating world ", its desire to outrage the colors always more, its interior world and an intense communion with the forces of nature it arrives has to create a completely personal style. |
