| Museum of Hong Kong The Museum of Hong Kong, open in 1962, is located today in the arts centre since 1991, in the medium of the park of the city. Its goal is to contribute to the safeguarding of the Chinese cultural inheritance and to promote it. Its collections include/understand 11 000 objets d'art. Paintings and Chinese penmanship, ancient treasures, historical paintings and creations of local artists constitute the bottom of the collections. The collections of paintings and Guandong penmanship as well as modern Chinese works made up since 1964 (today more than 3000 works) were joined together thanks to generous donations which make museum of Hong Kong one of the museums of Asia to the most exceptional inheritance. |
