| El Salvador Dali (1904-1989) Impassioned painting dice childhood, its first tables carried out at the twelve years age are influenced by the impressionism and the Spanish painting of the XIXème century. With the academy Sao Fernando of Madrid it learns the technique from lasure which makes it possible to integrate into the fabrics an effect of illusion optical. In 1926 it is returned Fine arts for agitation and bad conduct. Little time after it goes to Paris where it meets Picasso and André Breton, head of file of the surrealist movement. It is Miro who inserts it in the surrealist movement and it produces works very combining to a technique naturalist and an irrational set of themes. He adopts the surrealist method of automatic writing and leaves free course to free associations of ideas dictated by the unconscious one. He speaks "about critical interpretation of visions of madness" to qualify his works. The phantasmagoric creatures and contradictory associations of its fabrics must be interpreted like symbols coming from the outburst of the unconscious one. Painting as such must be compared with the oneiric activity. The world of the dreams and the dreams. For these subjects El Salvador Dali takes as a starting point other surrealist like Tanguy, Ernst and De Chirico also put of the older artists like Raphaël or Vermeer. Its taste of the setting in scene is used for to him looking after its image or marketing and popularizing its art. Since 1972 a museum El Salvador Dali was opened in Figueras. |
