Painting on plaster has the advantage of being able to give relief to
works.
The artist clothes industry a plasterboard to the desired format (here 68 cm in height and 49 cm broad) using a mould. Once the dry plaster it carries out its drawing (pencil or charcoal). Then, and it is most constraining, it is necessary to sandpaper the parts which will be in hollow, the other parts will be full from where a very interesting effect of prospect. Once finished sandpapering it does not remain any more that to apply the color, here the plaster is white thus the white parts are zones where no color was affixed. For other effects it is also possible to carry out plasterboards of color (black, yellow, blue, green…) plaster which can be tinted at the time of the realization of the plate from the beginning. One sees the interest well, for a landscape for example, to have a plate blue (sky) or green (nature). The plants, are before all the allegory of what in us is calm, natural, and evolves to a harmonious balance of the person in accordance with the internal laws. The plant expresses psychic contents which plunge their roots in the obscure funds of the existence. Powerful trunk, membrée stem or flexible grass bit support and project towards the sky, in the spiritual field, the multicoloured formation of the sheets and the flowers. It is through the trunk and the branches that the sap assembles dark depth, changes and feeds all the organization. The circuit of the various vegetable states is an allegory for the circuit of the psychic development whose plant, here a tree with the relatively tormented trunk, is a particularly typical image. From a psychoanalytical point of view the tree is a male symbol of paternal type but here it also symbolizes above all the person. It is necessary to distinguish 3 zones distinct in symbolism from the tree. The roots or the low part represent the unconscious one and the instinctive forces, here as they are very close to water, symbol depths of unconscious, it is still much more obvious. The trunk represents the material and body life, in work as it is tormented enough it expresses a certain suffering which east cannot be not body origin but can be an evil being and much of torments. The sheets and flowers of the high part represent the spiritual life. Here sheets and flowers do not appear, however the artist reveals colors sharp absent from the other parts of the tableand gives rhythm and movement to this high part which gives rise to think of a nearest blossoming, a revival, like one spring of the
heart.
